Just a second can change a person’s life. Some are taken by God to His Heavenly Kingdom to remind others that there is one more chance. One more chance to change their life and serve Christ till He calls them Home. Everyone has a different calling in life. Some are called to witness at work and others at home and around. No matter where we are in life; God calls us to serve Him.
Missionaries are called by God to sacrifice their life in service for Christ.
Doctors consume hours on patient’s tests to determine what is wrong.
First Responders spend hours on accident scenes, saving people’s lives.
Ministry teams praying continually for the prodigals, but also serving the rest of the church.
Parents teaching their children in the way of the Lord.
Everyone is called to serve, but we all have a different calling. In this calling, we may think we have it figured out. But No, God only knows the journey we will walk. Committing our life to Christ, we knew it would not be easy. Not everyone will be sent on the mission field, sometimes our own town is our mission. God planned communities for a reason. I had a personal experience of this. At the age of fifteen, our family moved to an outreach in a little town called Waymart. We had lived in Ephrata, Pennsylvania for years. This was a blessing. It prepared us for what was ahead. Our neighbors that I grew up with did not know Christ as their personal Savior. And when we announced, we were moving to an outreach, they did not quite grasp why. We explained to them our call. Your home is here, is what they would often say. I have to say building relationships with non-Christians can be discouraging, but we can show Christ through that.
Our spiritual gifts that the Lord gave us come in to play with this service. We can use them as we reach out to the lost.

As you go throughout your day, remember Christ called us to be His servant.
Matthew 28:18-20 KJV
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
With Love, Jess
